I will when I get a new one, haha, paid 30£ for it from Maplin, 4A power supply, can't use keyboards or wifi in it on the raspberry pi :/

FML

I'm using a phone charger from Samsung the generic didn't work but Sammy powers the pi, flash drive, wireless USB/mouse with no video skipping. 5 bucks usd on Amazon

Op, being that i have not bought my wifi dongle yet what brand is the easiest to configure, locally mostly netgear and linksys available local.

Wasn't talking about the power supply you plug into your PI, I'm talking about the one you plug into your powered usb hub, I paid 30£ for the supply and hub.

Here is the link for supported devices

http://elinux.org/RPi_VerifiedPeripherals

I would go with ralink chipset and all you need to do is install the firmware.

If you reboot does the lsusb list your device? If not then it could be the power hub is not giving sufficient current supply. Unplug it and plug it back see if it improves.

Looks like you need to invest another power supply or powered usb hub.

I don't have any usb wifi dongle and have not tested any usb hub with it.

I use the power adapter comes with my touchpad (5V 2A) and works all right with one usb remote and one wireless keyboard dongle.

If you have a spare usb charger for ipad/iphone or any smart phones give them a try.
