raspbmc settings request
Hi there,

after enabling SSH/FTP/Samba I wondered if there would be the option to split all 3 services to individual config options in raspbmc settings, you may want to enable ssh but not allow ftp or samba or any other combination of the 3 ...

has this been reviewed? how to submit feature requests?

cheers

RE: raspbmc settings request
Hi,

I'd like to inform about a bug or a missing functionality that I think should be in raspbmc settings. Scenario: every time I play with overclock settings in the raspbmc settings (and I only do either normal or fast, no fancy stuff) my config.txt is changed to reflect that. However, the stuff that was in config.txt before that and had nothing to do with clock settings is gone. Namely my
Code:
sdtv_mode=2
sdtv_aspect=1
are gone.

Does this have anything to do with my personal failure to set something, or is there something missing in raspbmc settings functionality?
I think that also happened after installing a nightly build through raspbmc settings. I can test it out and confirm if you want.

Andrius

Got it. Thanks.
I usually do this direcly editting the config.txt on the laptop, since I don't have a normal keyboard.

I edited the raspbmc settings file manually via ssh as I don't have a keyboard attached to the pi and using the onscreen keyboard to enter the values would be tedious Wink

nano ~/.xbmc/userdata/addon_data/script.raspbmc.settings/settings.xml

and then look for the 'sys.config.addition' setting. You should then start up the raspbmc settings add on and change one of the values (then change it back again) before selecting OK - this updates the config.txt file.

Mods: Hopefully I'm not giving bad advise here - if so then please feel free to edit/remove my post.
