Everything too big with 121014 nightly
Installed the 121014 nightly this morning and everything is way too big. The interface extends off the right and bottom of the screen significantly, not just a little overscan. Tried all settings on tv (HD 1080) and nothing fixes it. Raspbmc has been fine up to this nightly.

Video plays too large also.

Anyone else seeing this? Any suggestions? Thanks!

---Bill

Got the same results. I managed to get the homescreen normal, but video's are still too big(like zoomed in). I guess i'm installing RC5 from scratch again.

Glad to know we're not the only ones!

FWIW - The video is fine up through and including the Raspbmc logo - correct size and centered. After that, it's too big and off the right & bottom.

RE: Everything too big with 121014 nightly
Hmm, something is wrong. On cold boot it gets to the logo, then goes black and cause the tv to reset. Once the tv resets, XBMC is up and big. Done this twice now.

Update: Ok, I think that was a CEC issue.

You can set your screen size in the settings menu where you can also change the resolution.

Hmm, here it's not to big but seems like everything is a bit blurry.

Yes i know, but that doesn't help. I can only do video calibration, but that only adjusts the homescreen. When i start a video it is too big.

RE: Everything too big with 121014 nightly (SOLVED)
From XBMC forum - tested and works:

Quote:In the latest trunk, I suddenly experienced a problem with the video and/or GUI being "zoomed" 2X, in 1080p HDMI
I solved it by going to "guisettings.xml" and removing the "resolutions" section, replacing it with "<resolutions />". I assume those are no longer necessary and conflict with recent video scaling commits.

Obviously, removing the "guisettings.xml" altogether also works

Tomorrow's (121016) nightly should resolve it, just wait for it.

If you have gone through the fix for 121014 nightly you have to unfix it first on 121016 otherwise you will have a tiny gui on your big screen.

I installed nightly 15, but still zoomed. Not 2x but still....
