RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
Looking good, just about to boot it up and have a go - whats the default ssh username & password? can just copy my xml files across to make it quicker then.
Hmm, seems to be on a loop whilst booting with: mmc0: final write to sd card still running mmc0: Timeout waiting for hardware interrupt mmcblk0: error -110 sending stop command, original cmd response 0x900, card status 0x900 I know the sd card type and brand is ok as its the same as I use me for Debian. Any ideas? |

User and passwprd are mentioned in the FAQ... That happens sometimes. Reimage and try again. Ensure you safely remove hardware after reimaging. |

RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
Ha! Will read the FAQ for once.
I left it going and the errors continued but it's now gone into the installer, think I'll leave it and wait for it to crash. I used winimg installer and ejected card correctly, if it fails ill do the img in mint |

RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
If the installer is running it should not crash. The installer runs in RAM

RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
4GB class 4 Sony SF-4C4 had same mmc0 issues.
Card is working with debian, arch and openelec. Switched to 8GB class 10 Optima and those issues went away, will retry Sony card later in case it was an imaging issue. |

RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
Hi...
Looking good, a LOT more responsive than a openelec build I used. First boot took a lot of time (the first couple of time the errors started appeareing ("sd-write still running, trying to kill it", I switched it off. Thereafter I rewrote the image, and left the room for an hour or so, and it was booted up nicely ;-) Tried to play some hd movies via smb-share, no issues. Will test it more later today. /Lars |

RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
I left it going with those errors cycling, came back an hour later and there was xbmc looking at me!
Not sure if I should start again or not? One thing which is a bit random is that I appear to have two partitions on my sd card (8gb micro sd class 4), one I think created by img (approx 70 meg) and \ at about 6 gig. Other than that it seems very responsive, I like |

RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
Test rig, 1080p monitor with stereo out, HDMI audio DTS/AC3 support off, all media accessed over SMB on gigabit eth.
Seems to be pretty happy with most media I throw at it, mostly 720's. Not as happy with my biggest 1080p, 1080's with DTS is very choppy, 2 sec pause - 2 sec play... AC3 seems to be better, but still get occasional pauses. I will move onto a system with a receiver later to test if it is just the down-mixing. for a 1st run beta, very very impressed. not tried advancesettings.xml yet, think a few tweaks there may help, it did with openelec... |

RE: Raspbmc - Beta Release
Just tried with dirty regions enabled (tried algorithm 1 & 3) and it made things very choppy, which is a bit wierd
