[Alpha] usb sound cards support for raspbmc

Hi,

wanted to ask - are there any plans on incorporating the usb sound card support into the main repository trunk? Maybe RC5?

Will the pulseaudio patches be available for RC5 soon?

I want to continue testing the USB sound card support. Especially the DTS/AC3 Passthrough part of it as its still not functioning with RC4

Current tutorial is not compatible with RC5?

I don't know about the USB sound part and XBMC integration, but pulseaudio is working as before.

I don't know about the USB sound part and XBMC integration, but pulseaudio is working as before.

Current Patches not compatible, as they are a custom compiled RC4 version or is the RC5 built with AE-enabled? and Pulseaudio installed in the image?

I'm running RC5 and it seems to partially work. I get menu sounds out of the USB sound card, however if I try to play an audio file (either network or local) the Pi seems to freeze or get very slow, it just keeps playing the last menu sound in a loop. The screen will eventually update to the audio playing screen but nothing is actually playing.

Same result, only menu sounds from usb soundcard, when try play song, looping menu sound and freeze.
Looking forward to stable solution.

are u both sure that its playing over AudioEngine (AE) with pulseaudio ?

ssh into the Pi and execute during audio/video playback "pactl list sink-inputs"
